One question we are asked often is “Where is the model number of my Elkay water fountain?” Knowing where to find the identifying information like the serial number, part number, and model information for your Elkay drinking fountain, water cooler, or bottle filler is crucial. This information will help ensure you order the correct repair parts and filters, buy the proper coordinating units, and learn if your unit(s) are included in a recall.
The Elkay identification tag (also called the data tag) is found on different areas of the unit, depending on what type of unit it is. Generally, they will be found underneath or inside the unit, but for some floor mounted models, they are found on the right side of the unit.
Elkay has two different (but similar) tag versions on their water fountains that include the serial number, part number, and model number. They also include other information like the unit’s volts, Hz, PH, Amps, Watts, LRA, Max Fuse, Min Circuit, Refrig., Type, Design Pressure, Class, Heater, and what standards the unit adheres to (like NSF/ANSI standards).

Elkay EW(TL)A, LW(TL)A*, EWCA*, LWCE and HEW compact water coolers have data tags located inside the unit on the side panel wall. It is still visible from the underside of the unit.
Data Tag Location: Right Side of Unit , in the Top Rear Location Near the Basin
Elkay EF(H)A*, LFAE*, EFOA*, FD*, LFDE*, AND EFY* floor mounted units have the data tag showing on the right side of the unit in the top rear location near the basin of the unit.
Data Tag Location: Inside of the Unit on the Baseplate
Elkay water chiller models ECP* and ECU* have the data tag listed inside of the unit on the baseplate.
