Oasis Retrofit Bottle Filler Guide

Oasis Retrofit Bottle Filler Article

If you are looking to retrofit your Oasis water cooler or drinking fountain with a bottle filler, then this article is for you. In the global pandemic era, bottle fillers are quickly becoming an expected amenity in public facilities. Many people prefer using their own water bottle rather than bringing their lips to a communal bubbler. Read on to learn which Oasis water cooler and drinking fountain models can be retrofitted, and which cannot, as well as additional information about Oasis retrofit bottle filler options.

Retrofitting your existing Oasis fountains might seem like a complicated task, but for most retrofits, it’s actually rather straightforward. Commercial drinking fountain manufacturers, like Oasis, sell their retrofit bottle fillers as kits that usually include everything you need to add the bottle filler to your drinking fountain. And we have been working with Oasis for over 25 years, so Equiparts can provide you with information and guidance every step of the way, from selecting a unit, to its installation.

Step 1: Identify Your Oasis Unit(s)

Identify which Oasis unit(s) you have. This information is usually found on a sticker underneath the unit. You may want to take a picture of the sticker so if you need any other information (like the year the unit was made), you have it handy.

Step 2: Use our Retrofit Kit Chart

Use our chart below to see which models the retrofit kits are designed to retrofit. Learn more about the compatible retrofit kits by clicking on the links below the chart to read the unit’s description, view the spec sheet, and more.

Step 3: Order the Kits You Need

Add your retrofit kits to the cart, and place your order. Give us a call if you would like to request bulk order discounts, would like more information about shipping times, or have other questions.

Step 4: Install Your Retrofit Kits

Oasis Bottle Filler Retrofit FAQs

Read the frequently asked questions below to find answers to common questions regarding Oasis water cooler and drinking fountain retrofits.

Is retrofitting a water cooler hard?
In general, no. Retrofit kits are sold with all of the items needed to retrofit your water cooler. The kits also include detailed instructions for installation. Equiparts and Oasis customer support by phone is also available to you during regular business hours in case you need additional help, or have a specific question.

Are there any big mistakes I should try to avoid when it comes to retrofitting my unit?
One mistake you don’t want to make is purchasing the wrong retrofit kit for your water cooler. This is why we have written this article for you that shows which retrofit kits are compatible with your water cooler.

How do I make a bottle filler retrofit dispense refrigerated water?
If you add a bottle filler kit to a non-refrigerated drinking fountain, the retrofit bottle filler will also dispense non-refrigerated water. If you add a bottle filler kit to a refrigerated drinking fountain, then the bottle filler water will be refrigerated as well.

Do retrofit bottle filling stations need power?
Yes. All bottle filling stations will need to plug into a power outlet.

What voltage do bottle filler retrofit kits use?
Standard 115/120 voltage.

What type of fittings do the retrofit bottle filler kits use?
Push fittings, which make installation easier.

Which is harder to retrofit, a single water cooler or a bi-level water cooler?
Single is more difficult because the unit must be pressurized. This means you have to change the set up of the internal mechanisms within the unit since water will be pumped into two locations, instead of the single connection in the original configuration. Bi-level units are already pressurized because they have two connections. This will make retrofitting easier.
