The new Oasis bottle fillers with stainless steel alcoves are here! Oasis has been slowly unrolling their new stainless steel alcove design throughout 2023. It is now available for many varieties of bottle fillers and combination drinking fountain models.
These new models are not entirely new, but are simply updated versions of the previous Oasis units. The new Oasis bottle fillers with stainless steel alcoves contain the same internal parts, and have the same outside design. The only difference is the upgraded stainless steel alcove.
Our part numbers for the new models have an ‘NS’ (new style) added to the end. For example, our new Part #88093NS, is just Part #88093 with a stainless steel alcove. Part #88093 is the old style Oasis model PGV8EBF. Part #88093NS, is the new style PGV8EBF 507063. Both the old and new styles are available for purchase.
The stainless steel alcoves are more durable and modern than previous designs. Oasis likely made this update to address the demand for hygienic hydration and modern, sleek design that blends naturally into contemporary environments.
Durability. Stainless steel has a long history of being used in medical applications due to its durability and how well it can be sterilized. The efficiency of cleaning and disinfecting the unit remains the same, even over many years. Stainless steel is harder than plastic or other metallic alloys, so it is less likely to get damaged. This is important for bottle fillers that will be placed in high volume areas or locations susceptible to vandalism. Stainless steel is also resistant to corrosion and high temperatures.
Modern Design. The new, rounded shape of the alcove provides a more modern aesthetic, which is sought after in many new builds. Not only are rounded edges easier on the eyes, but they also serve a purpose - deterring the unit from being damaged. This makes it safer for use, and easier to clean. The Oasis branding and bottle counter are also more muted, allowing them to blend in to the unit instead of sticking out.
